Hello and welcome!
Amit is an award-nominated actor, writer, and producer of South Asian descent, born and raised in New York. He made his acting debut as a leading man in four mainstage productions at Rutgers University in New Jersey at the age of 18. He earned his BFA in Drama from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he studied at institutions such as The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, Stonestreet Studios Film and TV Residency Program, and later at the William Esper Studio under the guidance of Barbara Marchant.
He made his New York stage debut in 2024 with the Lee Strasberg Spring Show, Love and Loss. His recent credits include an extensive collaboration with Stonestreet Studios and Indie Film Producers Gary and Alyssa Rallo Bennett.
Amit’s early exposure to World Cinema and the acclaimed works of Indian, British, and Italian filmmakers instilled a deep love for Romantic, Coming of Age, and Psychological Drama stories as well as stylistic arthouse Indie Film and TV. In front of and behind the camera, he has merged his extensive experience as a Juror for the New Jersey Film Festival with his sensibilities as an actor, and strives to portray nuanced characters, regardless of their ethnicities.
In his free time, you can find him at your local AMC Theater flexing his A-List membership for a large popcorn, meditating, or relaxing on a beach somewhere watching The White Lotus.
